Rhode Island Hunting Regulations

Although being the smallest state in the union, Rhode Island offers a great hunting ground for all hunters. The summer season is a pleasure at Rhode Island, and there is no extreme weather experienced for most part of the year which is a definite plus as well. Whitetail deer, fox and coyote are the bigger species found here. Smaller species exist in larger numbers in this state. Pheasant, turkey, duck, goose, quail, dove, grouse, snipe and woodcock are the smaller species spotted here.

Rhode Island hunting regulation requires a license to be obtained to commence hunting. Only those with valid license can participate in hunting activity in the region. The licenses and seasons schedules along with dates and hunting regulations can be found at http://www.dem.ri.gov/pubs/regs/
